One of my favourite colours is silver; I only recently realised that Argentina was named after the French word for silver - argent. Actually, their general term for money is l'argent and 'keep the change' is guardez la money.
Right ... trainers. I do love 'em and I bought these last year from eBay.
I used to buy Adidas Superstars years ago from Argos because they sold a woman's size 9 and therefore I could buy more pastelly sneakers. The soles are much bouncier than I recall and I do believe that Sir Robbie Williams name checked them in his much derided 2006 hit 'Rudebox' in the line 'grab your shell toes and your fat laces, ... rock the three stripes, not the Asics.'
Williams failed to inform his audience that the tongues of Superstar sneakers are very stiff and therefore a pair of full length socks is preferable to the briefer trainer sock. Maybe this is one of the main reasons why the Rudebox album was such a flop and ended up being used as the base for a motorway?
I am a lady with large feet - a size 9/43 to be precise. Along the way I'll be wittering on about the mad, bad world of shoes, feet and generally musing about related stuff. To break up the never-ending prose, there are loads of pictures too, however, I really don't want copying or downloading any of my images and posting them in another website as this is illegal. Please don't do it or I'll take the necessary steps to cease this forthwith.

Birkenstock Florida Three Strap Silver Sandals
Yeah, it's nearly summer, so it must be time for ... silver shoes! These, my third pair of silver Birkies to date (following the Madrid and then the Gizeh styles) both of which have gone to the great Birkenstock home in the sky.
I have owned a pair of Floridas before - my first ever Birkies were a beige coloured hue and were an extremely comfortable, if not slightly frumpy introduction to the brand.
