Dunlop Wellies

So ... it's the time of mellow fruitfulness, or whatever the Mr Kipling advert used to say. And yes, before you all write in to expose my stupidity, I am aware that it's an extract from a poem, but my A-Level English Literature put me off of that kind of thing for years. Perhaps I should persevere with Frank Skinner's Poetry Podcast?

Anyway, as ever I digress. Last week I purchased some green Dunlop Wellington boots from Amazon so that I can stomp through the local woods and do the gardening in. I know that Hunter wellies are the fashionista choice, but they're way too expensive and even if they offer a size 9 the calf width would be far too narrow.

Fluffy Birkies

Last year I was browsing through Amazon and what did I see? A pair of clunky, cloud-like apparitions which turned out to be Birkenstock Arizonas with a full faux sheepskin lining. Yep, they're quite fugly, but boy, they're so comfy and cosy.

Mmm - I'm writhing around in the sheer tactile loveliness. Yum!

Purple Suede Moccasin Slippers

Now, I do like the cosiness of a slipper, but they aren't the easiest thing to come by if you're a big foot such as me. In the past I've purchased faux suede ones from Shoezone, but they soon draw my feet and cause them to stink rather badly. Even though I chuck them in the washing machine on a semi-regular basis. Bah!

I bought these from Amazon, but I cannot recall how much they actually cost. They're great though, true to size and very cosy. As you can see, I do need to stick them through the wash though, preferably in a net bag.
